All new patients are offered a health check with a member of the healthcare team to ensure that any required tests are up to date and that we have an accurate note of any repeat medication you may be taking.
Your health care is the responsibility of the practice as a whole, but you may still see the doctor of your choice. We operate a system whereby all patients are allocated a 'Usual GP'. If you attend the practice regularly for a long-term problem this will normally be the GP that you have seen most often in the last few years. Your Usual GP can change if needed but we encourage you to plan ahead and arrange to see your usual GP, whenever possible, for any problem that can wait for their next routine appointment. If your problem is too urgent to wait for their next routine appointment then it is helpful to ask for that GP in case they have a 'same-day' appointment available on the day that you call.
