Opening times

We offer a limited number of 'extended hours' appointments outwith normal surgery hours.  Morning surgeries run between 7am and 8am and evening surgeries between 6pm and 7pm.  Please ask the receptionist if you would like to book an extended hours appointment to fit with work, caring or other commitments.  To book an appointment please phone 01368 863226.

Occasionally we may close our reception desk temporarily for office training, usually for no more than an hour over lunchtime.  At these times a telephone line will always be available to allow urgent advice or assessment where needed.

Out-of-hours services 

At other times when the pracice is closed, the Lothian Unscheduled Care Service (LUCS) provides urgent medical care on weekday evenings (from 6pm until 8am the following day) and at weekends (from 6pm on Friday evening until 8am on Monday morning).

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In an emergency you should call 999.  Chest pains or severe shortness of breath or any possible signs of a stroke all constitute an emergency.
